Today was a Korean National Holiday...not sure exactly what the name of it is but basically Koreans are supposed to use this day to go plant a tree or something like that.

These days the team is in disarray as we have lost a lot of players and it seems like we have 3 or 4 new Korean guys show up each week just so we can field a team. Then, it's hard to get anything going as we haven't played together as a team and half of the team can't communicate with the other half. Sometimes it feels like it's back to the old Busan Metro and PSV days.

Our opponent was Real Busan. They are a good team and their core of guys have been playing together for the last 3-4 years so we knew we had to bring our " A" game to compete in this one.

It's an hour before the game and I was driving to the field with Chris and Michael. Somehow, I missed the Yangsan turnoff so we're stuck in traffic on the highway out of town. In Korea, it seems like every Korean owns a car and goes for a drive on the weekend. As it was a holiday, we were trapped on the highway for 40 minutes before we could get to the next turnoff. We then drove around in Jangyu for another 5 or 10 minutes before we could find the way back on to the highway.
We arrived at the game a little before halftime.

When the game started, we only had 8 guys at the game. No Jordan so Mark started between the pipes and was sporting a pair of work gloves. Then I took over in net but let in the last 7 goals. I'd like to blame it on the work gloves but to make a long story short, we got our asses kicked. Plain and simple.

But after the game, we got some good eats in Seomyeon.
