PSV BUSAN (10-0) Ulsan WSW : FT Report

PSV continues their solid season with a 10-0 win against an uninspired Ulsan.

There was only one team that showed up at Yangsan on this cloudy sunday with the intention of winning. For Ulsan Won Shots this was the last game of the season and a win would not change their 5th position in the league. PSV needed a win to avoid unnecessary pressure in the fight for the title.

PSV came prepared although missing several key players this afternoon. Ulsan had spent a great night out (5 of them spotted at Vinyl) and could only field 9 players to start.

After 12 minutes PSV was able to break the tie through Craig's solorun and with the help of an Ulsan defenders foot. From there this game is not one that will go down history as brilliant in any way. PSV continued to score off of all defensive mistakes made by Ulsan defenders. Most goals scored were a little bit on the lucky side and often handed to PSV. Although the score was of doubledigits it wasn't necessarily a great game offensively from PSV's side. Exciting on the other hand was the defense - who kept playing strong during 90 minutes, not allowing Ulsan to come close to any opportunities. We are all aware of the Ulsan player's skill level but today they didn't care if their own passes went straight to PSV forwards. This quiet and low intensity game was "over" before halftime. Ulsan will come back strong in the fall and PSV continue trying to overcome DMZ in the coming battles for the title.

Positives:
- Craig's scoring qualities (5 goals today - one was an own goal though)
- Jordan is back in net
- The crazy summer heat is gone (with Nabi's help)
- Defensively still looking solid

Negative:
Injuries (Ken, Leo and today Julian as well)

Goals (see below)

1.  own goal - Craig took a shot, keeper deflected the ball to his defender who kicked it in in an attempt to clear it.

2.  Craig - Mike's through-ball assist.

3.  Penalty taken by Hong Kin Chul (I think) who followed up the first save and scored on his own rebound.

4.  Mike - collected the ball when a defender miss-kicked a back pass

5.  Matthew - Assist by Craig - Craig centered the ball off a defender's ass and Matthew headed it in.

6.  Craig - Collected the ball off a bad goalkeeper clearance.

7.  Mike - Again a defensive error.

8.  Craig - Matthew's assist - After a cross from Matthew from the right wing, Craig trapped the ball with his left foot shifting to his right while beating the defender and shooting into the upper right corner

9.  Jin - On a pass from Mike (was it a good shot, or a bad pass).

10.  Craig - Jin's assist.  Off a long throw that went across the whole box where Craig did a 180 degree, left-footed volley.
